Rickshaw Puller’s Son Tops Odisha Madrasa Board Exams
Bhadrak: Sheer determination and hard work always yield results no matter how hard the objective is. Noor Mohammed Khan from Bhadrak, who finished at the top in the Alim Final Degree Plus-III examinations-2020 in Odisha this year is a perfect example of such a success.
Noor, who hails from a small village named Sabarpur under Basudevpur Municipality in Bhadrak district comes from a not so well-to-do family. His father Ghulam Rasool Khan earns living for their family by pulling a cycle-rickshaw in the area.
But poverty and hardship could not deter Noor from securing the top position in the Alim Final Degree examination which was conducted by Odisha State Board of Madrasa Education.
Giving all the credit of his success to his family and teachers, Noor said, “I was very happy after the results were published. It was made possible only because of my hard work and my teacher’s confidence in me.”
“He is a good student and he got what he deserved. I am proud of him,” said his elated father, Ghulam Rasool Khan.
Notably, a total of 139 examinees appeared for the Alim Final Degree Examination in Odisha from which 128 examinees have passed the examination. Noor secured 1267 marks out of 1600 and secured the top spot in the state.
