Puri: Devotees can now get a close view of Lord Patitapabana as the Srimandir and the district administration have moved the barricade 20 feet further towards the Singhadwar.

The special arrangement will help devotees get a close glimpse of the Lord during the month of Kartik.

One can now enter through the barricade at Srimandir administration office. Devotees coming from Balisahi area can enter through the Kakudikhai road.

Meanwhile, devotees can return through the same route after the darshan of Lord Patitapabana.

“The Habishyalis were following the same path up to the Srimandir as other commuters, resulting in minor mishaps on the grand road. Therefore, we have made a separate path for them so that they can get the Darshan of Patitapaban in an easier manner,” said Sub-Collector of Puri, Bhabataran Sahu.

Puri MLA, Jayant Sarangi demanded that considering the holy Kartik month, the devotees be allowed up to the “Arun Stambha” to get a closer look at Lord Patitapaban.

Senior Servitor, Ramachandra Das Mohapatra said, “The administration should allow the devotees to take darshan of Lord’s “Radha Damodar Besha”, at least for an hour.”
