Bhubaneswar: As many as 2577 patients were cured of COVID-19 in Odisha on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 230192.

The maximum number of 244 patients recovered from Cuttack, 137 from Jajapur, 124 from Khordha, 120 from Baleswar, 120 from Sambalpur, 114 from Kendrapara, 114 from Puri, 111 from Sundargarh, 108 from Anugul, 103 from Bolangir, 101 from Mayurbhanj, 97 from Bargarh, 90 from Nuapada, 81 from Nabarangpur, 74 from Keonjhar, 71 from Jagatsinghpur, 69 from Dhenkanal, 67 from Bhadrak, 67 from Nayagarh, 62 from Jharsuguda, 57 from Malkangiri, 49 from Kandhamal, 45 from Sonepur, 39 from Kalahandi, 36 from Ganjam, 34 from Boudh, 33 from Koraput.

Similarly, 23 patients have been cured of Deogarh, 19 from Rayagada, 13 from Gajapati and 155 from State Pool said the civic body tweet.

On the other hand, with the daily coronavirus cases starting to show a declining trend since the last few days, the focus seems to have now shifted to the decline in the number of tests. Odisha reported 2423 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the virus tally to 254662 on Monday. Of the new cases, 1417 patients are from quarantine, while 1006 are local contact cases.
