Phulbani: Suneli, the divyang girl from Kandhamal district whose dancing talent inspired awe in many, will finally be able to go to school.

After a report on her plight was telecast by OTV, the district administration of Kandhamal has extended a helping hand to the girl and admitted her to school. Suneli has also been provided a tri-cycle, school uniform and textbooks by the administration.

The administration has also assured all assistance available under the state government scheme. The Additional Block Education Officer (ABEO) has categorically directed the teachers of the school to keep an eye on Suneli’s studies so that she does not lag behind.

Subasini Diggal, the ABEO said, “She is 11, so we admitted her to class-5 of Badabanga Sevashram. She has been provided with a tri-cycle, escort allowance for her parents, textbooks and uniform.”

“She will begin her studies immediately after reopening of schools,” added Diggal.

A visibly elated Suneli, who looked smart in new school uniform riding the tri-cycle said, “I thank OTV for their efforts. It is only because of them that I got admitted to the school.”

Despite being a divyang, Suneli from Badabanga Colony Sahi in Daringbadi block of Kandhamal district has amazed everyone with her dancing skills.
