Phulbani: It is often said that the biggest obstacles in our lives are the barriers which our mind creates. A divyang girl from Odisha’s Kandhamal district has now become a source of inspiration with her dancing skills.

Suneli Diggal from Badabanga Colony Sahi in Daringbadi block of Kandhamal district has amazed everyone with her dancing skills. Though Suneli is unable to stand, she has left many mesmerised with her moves and expression.

The 11-year-old girl’s parents are daily wage labourers and she cannot stop herself from dancing once music lands on her ears. Many agree that Suneli’s unique ability and graciousness is a thing to behold.

However, life has not been easy for Suneli, who despite possessing a disability certificate is yet to get any assistance or allowance from the Odisha government. Moreover, she is also deprived of primary education.

State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Sulochana Das admitted that despite attempts by State government, some beneficiaries have been left out.

“When such instances come to our notice from media and other sources we take immediate action. We have already contacted the concerned official, who will visit the girl’s house and take appropriate action,” said Das.

Das also assured that steps will be taken to provide education to Suneli.
