Sambalpur: Senior Odia film actor Shanti Swarup Mishra suffered injuries after he was shot at by unidentified miscreants near Budharaja gate here yesterday night.
The incident occurred when the actor was at its home chatting with is acquaintance Nityasundar. Both Mishara and his friend were injured in the firing.
According to sources, the condition of Mishra continues to be critical and he has been shifted from the Burla medical to the SCB medical in Cuttack.
Preliminary investigations revealed that land-related dispute is the reason behind the attack. Mishra earned acclaim for his performance Odia film ‘Krushna Sudama.’
