Bhubaneswar/Nuapada: Maoist rebels raided a contractor’s base and torched construction vehicles parked near Timali village in Nuapada district late last night.
One JCB machine, two trucks and a tractor are among the damaged vehicles.
The contractor had taken a tender for construction of a part of the Lower Indra Irrigation project in the district.
Banners and posters bearing the stamp of the Nuapada division of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) organisation were found from the spot.
