Malkangiri: A Maoist was killed in Darbha forest during an exchange of fire between security personnel and red rebels on Friday.
Guns and explosives were seized from the spot.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Chhattisgarh police and CRPF raided the forest. Security personnel faced resistance and bullets were fired upon them. In retaliation, the seucirty personnel opened fire causing the death of the Maoist. Others managed to flee from the spot.
