Jajpur:The dismembered body of an unidentified woman stuffed in a sack was found from the railway ward of Jindal Stainless Steel plant in Kalinganagar today. According to sources, the body was found from a bogey of a coal laden goods train, which came from Paradip to the plant.
According to sources, it is suspected that the woman was raped before being murdered.
Meanwhile, the body has been shifted to Danagadi hospital for post mortem and police investigation into the matter is on. Besides, parts of the body have been sent to the forensic lab.
“The body of a woman aged around 30 years old was discovered from the train while unloading coal. We have registered a murder case and have contacted the Paradip police. The investigation is on and we will be able to provide concrete information after it is completed,” said additional SP of Kalinganagar, Pradipta Kumar Sahani.
