New Delhi: A cyclonic storm over the northeast Bay of Bengal will cause heavy rainfall in parts of West Bengal, Odisha, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, and Jharkhand over next three days, the Met Office said on Thursday.

The cyclonic storm, "Komen" has begun moving northwestwards of the Bay of Benga and as a result, over the next three days, heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur at the Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha while Mizoram, Tripura, south Assam and Jharkhand will be lashed by heavy showers on Thursday and Friday, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
