Cuttack: A First Information of Report (FIR) has been lodged against an associate professor of SCB Medical College and Hospital for making a casteist remark on a student.
The medical teacher, identified as Kalyani Parida, often abuses students unnecessarily and makes casteist remarks.
“Recently, she humiliated a PG student Dinesh Kisku," said president of PG doctors' union of SCB Snehanshu Dey.
She is in the habit of making casteist remarks and mentally harassing students, the union added.
The students have demanded immediate action against the teacher. "If our demand is not met then we will be forced to resort to ceasework," said Dey.
