Cuttack: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today lodged an FIR against Cuttack-Choudwar MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal at Malgodam police station for Ravenshaw University clash in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
Sources said Biswal was present on October 15 before the official announcement of the poll results at around 6.30pm when altercations led to scuffle and violence during the victory procession started by the winning candidate.
Notably, as the situation going out of hand, university authorities called in the police. Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora also rushed to the campus but the fights continued unabated. Finding no sign of easing of tension on the campus, the university authorities declared sine die.
