Boudh: Sanjay Kanwar was arrested on charges murdering mother and daughter of a family in Burokata village under Khuntabandha panchayat in the district, SP Prafulla Patra said on Sunday.
Kanwar was forwarded to the court and police have seized the axe used in the crime, the SP added.
Notably, Kanwar and his father Mutu Kanwar on Friday evening killed their relative Rajani Kanwar and her daughter Danda Kanwar in the village.
Land dispute was the reason behind the crime, the SP added.
