Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today sought clarification from the State government regarding the exclusion of Cuttack from the central government’s Smart City project.
According to sources, the High Court has asked the government to furnish details of the marking mechanism used to grade the various cities for the Smart City project.
The High Court has scheduled the next hearing on the matter on September 21.
Notably, in August, the central government nominated Bhubaneswar and Rourkela to be included in the Smart City project.
However, later a PIL was filed in the High Court protesting Cuttack’s exclusion.
