Bhubaneswar: Three weeks after a delegation of 12 Congress legislators from Odisha met party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and reportedly complained about the functioning of party chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati, the group today met a few ministers at the secretariat and discussed their local area issues.
“We met some ministers and asked them to look into our local area problems,” Congress MLA Nava Kishore Das said.
The legislators’ today’s meet with the ministers minus the presence of Bahinipati made the case murkier.
Deputy leader of Congress Legislature Party Chiranjib Biswal assisted the team.
It may be noted that a 12-member delegation of MLAs, led by Jagatsinghpur MLA Biswal, assembled in Delhi on July 20 without the knowledge of PCC President Prasad Harichandan or LoP Narasingha Mishra leading to speculation of a rift in the party.
