Bhubaneswar: Chit fund company Green India CMD Sunil Panda and CEO Pradip Singh were sent to a 10-day remand by Special CJM court on Friday here.
Both the company’s officials were presented before the court today after they were arrested by CBI yesterday on charges of duping investors of more than Rs 100 crore.
The central investigating agency also seized Rs 10 lakh cash, 14 luxurious cars, an apartment in Sunderpada, lands in Berhampur and Bhubaneswar and several incriminating documents.
Sources said the investigating agency had asked the court for 15-day remand of the duo for interrogation.
This is the first time CBI has arrested officials of any chit fund company in the state.
