Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will hold its all-India annual meeting in the city on Friday. The Central agency’s director will chair the event which will be attended by around 20 top officials, said sources.
The directorate is expected to discuss issues related to Chit Fund, money trail and other economic offences, they added.
The ED has increased its activity in the State in view of the multi-thousand crore chit fund scam. The directorate has already taken many key accused into remand in the course of its investigation. Moreover, it has attached several properties worth hundreds of crores of rupees illegally amassed by the scamsters.
