Bhubaneswar: Central government-owned public sector company National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) today appointed V. Balasubramanyam as the new executive director of production of the company on superannuation of S.S. Mahapatra yesterday.
Balasubramanyam, a BTech in Chemical Engineering from Anna University in Chennai in 1984, started his career with the Navratna company in December 1984 as a graduate engineer trainee.
With his vast professional experience, which nested from project execution to plant operation at both the production complexes of aluminium major, he held various crucial positions in the organization before taking over his new role.
He is also an active life member of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Management Committee member of Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) and also member of Energy Panel in Odisha chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
LECTURE: Former Foreign secretary Vivek Katju will deliver the 14th edition of Nalco Foundation Day Lecture Series at Nalco Bhavan here on Tuesday. Odisha chief secretary G.C. Pati will preside over the event.
