Cuttack: To address the problems of human trafficking, Odisha Police will open branches of Integrated Anti-Human Trafficking Units (IAHTUs) in all districts of the state, said Crime Branch IG Y B Khurania on Saturday.
“We hope the state government will provide complete support in setting up these units as early as possible,” he told mediapersons at the Crime Branch headquarters here.
Besides, the present 12 IAHTUs will be given more powers to curb the human trafficking, he added.
Notably, state police was holding a two-day state-level workshop here from Friday on anti-human trafficking matters for its trainers.
