Bhubaneswar: Three important bills were passed in Odisha Assembly in the absence of Opposition members on Wednesday.
The House passed Odisha Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill 2014, Indian Stamp (Odisha Amendment) Bill and Burla NAC Tenure Reduction Bill after 3 pm.
Congress and BJP members staged a walkout demanding a discussion on chit-fund issue in the House and introduction of bills in Odia language.
Meanwhile, Odisha Open University Bill was introduced in the state Assembly.
