Malkangiri: As many as 15 families in the cut-off area of Jhakadapada village today left home fearing threat to their lives from Maoists.
The families, who were receiving death threats from Maoists at regular intervals, are taking shelters in Khairaputa area of the district.
In a related development, around 129 Maoist supporters including 18 aides of Maoists and 35 women today surrendered before Malkangiri superintendent of police. The supporters of naxals also included six members of village committee.
