Bhubaneswar: In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in the State, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) authorities have added five more cities to the list of the existing places as online examination centres.
According to a notification issued by OJEE, five cities – Angul, Baripada, Bargarh, Jeypore and Keonjhar will now have online examination centres.
Moreover, the OJEE authorities have revised the last date of online application submission.
The candidates, who have already completed the application process, can now modify their choices of examination centres between July 24 and July 31, 2020, the notification read.
The detailed schedule regarding the dates of examination and dates for downloading of admit cards will be notified after assessing the situation after July 31, the notice stated.
Earlier, the OJEE authorities had extended the last date for submission of online application for the entrance test to July 25.
The last date of OJEE application submission was extended for B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Tech (Part Time), M.Arch, M.Plan, M.Pharm, Int. MBA, LE-Tech (Diploma), LE-Tech (BSc), LE-Pharm and B.Tech (Special OJEE) courses.
Similarly, the last date of fee payment for the same has been extended to July 31, 2020.
OJEE council, on May 12, had announced to cancel the second OJEE scheduled to be held later this year and declared that a special entrance exam will be conducted for students aspiring to take admission into B.Tech courses in all government and private engineering institutes.
In a notification, the JEE council had also said 'as it is not feasible to conduct the 2nd / Special OJEE this session because of time constraint due to Covid lockdown, it has been decided to conduct, as an integral part of OJEE – 2020, a Special Entrance Examination for admission into 1st year B.Tech. courses of all government and private engineering colleges of Odisha'.
