Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s COVID-19 tally may cross 75,000 mark along with 200 more fatalities by the end of August, said the technical spokesperson of Odisha Health Department, Jayant Panda on Tuesday.

According to Panda, the caseload is bound to rise at this point of the pandemic and the State may record 50,000 more COVID-19 cases in August.

However, there's nothing to panic as the State has also recorded more than 23,000 recoveries so far, said Panda adding, "Let’s try to save each life carefully."

"At this stage of Pandemic numbers will rise. We may add another 50K cases in August with around another 200 deaths, total number crossing 75K as per predictions. Let’s not get worried, let’s not chase the number-more than 23K have recovered. Let’s try to save each life carefully," (sic) he tweeted.
