Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a record 2993 new COVID-19 positive cases in last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 78530 in the State.
While seven Odisha districts recorded over 100 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, COVID-19 cases continue to rise steadily in Khordha as it reported an all-time high of 606 positive cases- the highest single-day spike so far.

Apart from Khordha , Ganjam district reported 271 new COVID-19 cases, Cuttack (158), Nayagarh (153), Rayagada (137), Mayurbhanj (120), Balasore (115), Sambalpur (104), Koraput (95), Bargarh (98), Bhadrak (92) and Malkangiri (85).
Apart from the new COVID-19 cases, 10 persons succumbed to the disease in the State in the last 24 hours.
Three COVID-19 deaths were reported from Ganjam district, two deaths each reported from Cuttack and Rayagada and one death each was reported from Bolangir and Gajapati.
The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha now stands at 409.
