Odisha Woman Commits Suicide In Bengaluru: Barsha Priyadarshini

Bengaluru/ Bhubaneswar: A married woman from Odisha has allegedly committed suicide in Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Barsha Priyadarshini, who worked as a senior executive at Biocon company in Bengaluru.

According to reports, Barsha was staying along with her husband and three-year-old son at Vakil Mongolia in Bengaluru. Barsha allegedly committed suicide on December 20 by hanging herself after locking her room.

After gaining access to her bedroom, police recovered Barsha’s body and sent it for post-mortem to Anekal Government hospital later that day. The body was subsequently handed over to her family members on December 23. The post-mortem report is awaited.

Meanwhile, Barsha had reportedly made a distress call to her mother and sisters and had narrated torture by her in-laws. The audio of the mobile call has been recorded and police is examining the audio clip for necessary action.

According to reports, deceased Barsha’s father and mother-in-law have been detained while further probe in this connection is on.
