Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik has tested positive for COVID-19.

Taking to Twitter, the minister on Sunday informed, “I had undergone a COVID-19 test and the report came positive. With Lord Jagannath’s blessing, I am stable and undergoing treatment at the hospital.”

Mallik also requested the people, who have come in contact with him in the last few days, to get the COVID-19 test done as a precautionary measure.

It is pertinent to mention here that several Odisha MLAs including-- Ananta Narayan Jena (Bhubaneswar-central), Bikram Panda (Berhampur), Soumya Ranjan Patnaik (Khandrapada) have tested positive for COVID-19.

Among the MPs- Suresh Pujari (Bargarh), Manjulata Mandal (Bhadrak) and Ramesh Majhi (Nabarangpur) also have tested positive for coronavirus infection in the past.
