Odisha: Man Crushes 5-Year-Old Son To Death With Stone

Baripada: A man was arrested by Badasahi Police in Mayurbhanj district for allegedly killing his five-year-old son to death after smashing him on a stone on Friday.

According to reports, the accused, Chepa Dehury from Beladunguri village woke up this morning and looked for his wife and daughter. Unable to find them, he got agitated and went to the other room where his five-year-old son was sleeping in his grandmother's lap.

In a fit of rage, he snatched the boy from her lap and allegedly smashed him to death on a stone.

The shout from the boy and his grandmother alerted the neighbours who rushed to the spot and apprehended Chepa. The locals informed the police which subsequently arrested Chepa and lodged a murder case against him.

No comments could be obtained from the police in this connection.
