Sambalpur: In a major crackdown, police busted IPL betting dens and arrested as many as five persons during series of raids at various places in Sambalpur on Saturday.

As per sources, cops seized Rs 15, 000 cash, five mobiles from the 5 persons arrested for betting.

Earlier on Friday, Berhampur police arrested two persons and seized cash worth over Rs 33 lakh during a raid on an illegal IPL betting syndicate.

In the preliminary investigation into the IPL betting racket, Berhampur police found that the conduits were in close touch with bookies across major cities in the country as well as Dubai.
