It is pertinent to mention here that Odisha is witnessing a steep rise in the Covid-19 cases for the past one week.
Earlier in the day, Ravenshaw University authorities had postponed the Under Graduate (UG) and Post-graduate (PG) examinations which were scheduled for today. The decision to put the exams on hold was taken after three persons including two lecturers and a student of the varsity tested positive for Covid-19.
Similarly, 45 persons including some students had tested Covid positive at Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), a leading management school in Bhubaneswar, earlier this week. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) subsequently sealed the campus in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
