Odisha: Foundation Stone Laid For Tussar Silk Yarn Production Centre In Cuttack

Cuttack: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi laid the foundation stone for a Tussar silk production centre on the premises of Khadi Board at Choudwar in Cuttack.

According to sources, once the production centre becomes functional, it will generate employment to several workers.

Sarangi said this project will ensure skill development and provide employment to local people and is a great example of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

“Currently the manufacturing unit will provide employment to around 40 people. In the next one year, we are planning to increase production capacity which could generate employment for around 500 people," he added.
