Farmers alleged that the officials are deliberately delaying the delivery of fertilizers and making them wait for hours in the crucial time of paddy plantation.

It is alleged that black marketing of urea fertiliser has picked up amid the delay in government supply. We are buying urea from the black marketeers by paying exorbitant prices, alleged the protesting farmers.

Two days ago, farmers in the area had blocked the road protesting against delay in urea distribution. No comments have been received from the officials in the matter.
