Bhubaneswar: Sushree Dibyadarshini, a cricketer from Odisha has been selected for the upcoming Women’s T20 Challenge to be played from November 4 to 9 in UAE.

Confirming the development, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Sunday informed that Sushree has been picked for team Velocity which will be captained my Mithali Raj.

Sushree hails from Dhenkanal district and has played several key matches like U-19 and U-23. She had also represented East Zone, India A, India Blue in Challenger Trophy and Emerging India Team for a quadrangular series.

Sushree is currently working with Odisha Police.

Ollywood actor, Sabyasachi Mishra also congratulated Sushree for her selection in the squad.

The best of Indian women’s cricketers be seen in action with some of the leading stars from England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and New Zealand in a four-match tournament (Women’s T20 Challenge).

Earlier, the BCCI had announced Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj as captains of Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity teams, respectively.
