Bhubaneswar: Setting a new milestone, Odisha on Friday reported highest single-day COVID-19 recovery of 1,927 patients.
With this record surge in recoveries, the COVID-19 recovery tally crossed 50,000 mark today and reached 50,503.
As per the Health and Family Welfare Department, a highest of 246 COVID-19 patients recovered from Khordha district, followed by 190 from Ganjam, Nayagarh (151), Rayagada (146), Sundergarh (108), Kandhamal (101) and Dhenkanal (95).
Very happy to share that with the recovery of a record 1927 #COVID19 patients today, Odisha crosses the milestone of over 50,000 recovered cases!

Earlier in the day, Odisha reported 2,698 new COVID-19 cases taking its overall tally to 72,718 today. The State’s death toll due to SARS-nCoV infection also increased to 390 with 10 more
patients succumbing to the disease on Friday.
The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar reported 149 and 324 new COVID-19 cases respectively today.
