Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo, and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is all set to begin his campaigning for the upcoming by-elections to Balasore Sadar and Tirtol Assembly constituencies in the State.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the CM will hold campaigns in virtually mode, informed BJD leader and Law Minister, Pratap Jena.

Jena said the CM will campaign for the party candidates in Tirtol Assembly constituency of Jagatsinghpur tomorrow (October 28) and for Balasore Sadar on October 29.

“Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will hold digital or virtual rallies. In Balasore, the rally will be organised on October 29 from 4.30 PM to 5.30 PM. During that period, the CM will address the people of Balasore and seeking their support for BJD,” Jena said.

The ruling party has fielded Swarup Kumar Das in the Balasore Sadar seat while Bijay Shankar Das is contesting for the party from Tirtol.

The by-elections to the two assembly constituencies are scheduled to be held on November 3. The counting of votes in both the constituencies will held on November 10.
