Balasore: With the Balasore Sadar Assembly bypoll date drawing near, the political atmosphere in the constituency is seeing a major transformation. In a major shock to the ruling party, two senior leaders switched alliance from BJD to BJP.

BJD Nagar President, Ashish Ghosh and Chairman of Balasore Cooperative Urban Bank, Dhukul Ghadei joined hands with the BJP today for the upcoming bypolls.

The leaders officially joined the BJP at saffron party's office in the presence of State Unit President, Samir Mohanty.

Ghosh had resigned from BJD in August alleging negligence towards him by the party.

"I take the privilege to work under the towering leadership of PM Narendra Modi. I feel fortunate that I will now get a bigger platform to serve the people. I have the full support of sarpanchs and samiti members," Ghosh said after joining the BJP.
