Bhubaneswar: With 365 more persons testing positive for coronavirus under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area in the last 24 hours, the positive case tally of the city reached 23,914 on Tuesday.
Of the fresh cases, a whopping 249 were local contact cases while remaining 116 were quarantine cases, the civic body said.

On the other hand, recovery cases in the State capital breached 20,000 mark with 329 patients recuperating from the disease in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries in Bhubaneswar now stand at 20,217.
The city now has 3,571 active cases of Covid-19 while 105 patients have succumbed to the virus so far.

Earlier in the day, Odisha reported 2,673 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally in the State to 2, 38,003. The State also witnessed 16 more fatalities pushing the death toll to 940.
