Balasore: At least seven persons were injured in a clash that broke out between two groups over a piece of land in Balasore district on Friday.

The incident was reported from Sana Ausa village under Bhograi Police limits of the district.

According to sources, Ananta Mandal's family at San Ausa village had bought the said land. However, their neighbours Barendra Bez and Ashok Behera had allegedly started constructing a house on the land forcibly.

The matter subsequently reached the court which had ordered a status quo on construction on the land.

However, it is alleged that defying the court's order, Barendra and Ashok resumed the construction work on the land. When Ananta's family opposed the move, a clash broke out leaving seven persons injured.

The injured were initially shifted to Jaleswar Community Health Centre (CHC). Later, three persons, who were critically injured, were shifted to Balasore district headquarters hospital after their condition deteriorated.
