Bhubaneswar: While hearing a plea filed by the Odisha Television Limited (OTV) in connection with a notice served to the media house by the Odisha Commission for Women, the Orissa High Court on Wednesday observed that the Commission cannot force anyone for personal appearance.

The court's directive came in response to the plea moved by OTV challenging the Commission's earlier notice.

The court also issued notice to the Commission in this effect while scheduling the next hearing on November 4.

The Commission, which is probing the allegations of workplace harassment brought out by a former staff of the company, had termed the internal inquiry committee set up by the media house to look into the complaint as illegal.
