Bhubaneswar: With the NEET UG examination 2020 and the JEE Main examination 2020 are scheduled for September, a meeting was held today to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.

Chairing the meeting which was attended by senior administrative and police officers, Khordha Collector Sanat Mohanty discussed on ensuring safe travel of students to the examination centres from various districts and their return journey. Besides, compliance of Covid-19 restrictions during the examination was also discussed.

“We held discussions as to how the students will reach the examination centres and where they will stay. Arrangements will be made to ensure that they will not face any difficulties during their travel to the centres and from centres to their respective districts safely,” Mohanty said.

“Accommodation facilities are being made for the examinees. If any centre does not have the accommodation facility, alternative arrangement will be made,” he added.

Ajay Pratap Swain, Khordha SP, said, “Our priority is to ensure that the candidates coming for the tests will not face any problems. Our local RTOs are in liaison with the buses from concerned districts. Smooth travel of their guardians accompanying them during the travel will also be ensured.”

Bhubaneswar ITI principal Jitamitra Satpathy, “Our contact numbers have been made available to clear doubts of the examinees. We are receiving queries from them about when they have to visit the examination centres and about lodging facilities. All steps are being taken to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.”

Notably, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is scheduled from 1-6 September while the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is will be held on 13 September.
