Jeypore: All eyes are glued on the President of the Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh (CMAS) following the invitation of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to participate in the dialogues with the government to facilitate the release of abducted Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka. The tribal legislator was kidnapped by the ultras on March 23.

Nachika Linga`s name figures prominently in the `most wanted` list of the Odisha police. Nachika stands accused in the Narayanpatna police station attack and several other sensitive cases. He is on the run since 2009. The government however has invited the CMAS President to come to the negotiation table to discuss the release of the BJD legislator held in captivity by the ultras of the Andhra-Odisha-Border Special Zonal Committee(AOBSZC) of the CPI(Maoist). Nachika has not yet responded to the invitation by the government. However, Nachika`s legal counsel Nihar Patnaik denied that the CMAS leader has no role to play in the negotiations since the Maoists have ruled out to nominate mediators for the talks.
