Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), which manages Mo Bus in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, has decided to run its buses on all seven days of the week.

As informed by the CMD of CRUT Arun Bothra, the buses that were earlier running five-day a week will now run daily following the abolishment of weekend shutdown in Odisha.

The routes have now been rationalised. While the total number of routes on which the buses will ply remains at eight, they have been altered keeping in view public demand, informed Bothra.

The routes include, 11, 16, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25 and 33.

Earlier, complying with the weekend lockdown guidelines in Bhubaneswar, CRUT was keeping its busses off the roads on weekends in August.

Mo Bus Route Details:

Route 11- Nandan Vihar to Lingipur
Route 16- Master Canteen to Biju Patnaik Park, Cuttack
Route 18- Baramunda to Jagatpur
Route 20- Master Canteen to Khordha (via Vani Vihar)
Route 23- Master Canteen to SUM Hospital
Route 24- Sai Temple to Kalinga Vihar
Route 25- Dumduma to Mancheswar
Route 33- Master Canteen to Pipili

Meanwhile, the bus services will be resumed with following stipulations:

-NO mask, NO entry
-NO standing passenger inside the bus
-Passengers should carry sanitisers
-Passengers to be encouraged to make online payments

Odisha State Regional Transport Corporation (OSRTC) is also all set to resume its bus services in 29 routes under 14 depots across Odisha from Wednesday.

Speaking about the COVID-19 guidelines, Bothra said, “I hope people will remain vigilant and obey COVID-19 norms while travelling in buses.”
