Malkangiri: In a joint operation, Chhattisgarh Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) raided a Maoist Camp at Dantewada of Chhattisgarh near Malkangiri border on Tuesday and seized huge amount of Maoist articles including arms and ammunition.

Acting on a tip-off, the security personnel raided the camp and seized a pistol, arms, ammunition and other articles. However, the ultras fled the spot.

According to sources, the Maoists were staying in the temporary camp for last three-four days and planning for a big ambush, which was foiled by the police action.

Dantewada police is questioning the local people about the activities of the Maoists in the area. Further investigation is underway.
