New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to attend a roadshow today to attract investors for second edition of 'Make In Odisha' conclave which will be held in Bhubaneswar from November 11 to 15 this year.

During the roadshow, the Chief Minister will hold discussions with investors and highlight the State government's policy for setting up of industries, said sources. Currently Patnaik is on a three-day visit to Delhi.

Earlier, in August, the Chief Minister had met industry bigwigs in Mumbai at a roadshow organised by the Odisha government in association with its industry partner Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The State government has targetted that by 2025, Odisha will attract Rs 2.5 lakh crore investments and create 30 lakh job opportunities in five sectors.

As per reports, similar roadshows will be held in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad as well.

Besides, the government aims to become the third best startup hub in the country as already more than 250 startups have registered themselves in the State.

It is pertinent to mention here that similar roadshows were also organized by Odisha during the first edition of Make in Odisha Conclave. Though Odisha had received 84 proposals with an investment pledged to the tune of Rs 2.03 lakh crore, projects worth Rs 79,369 crore have advanced so far as per the data presented by the State government in Assembly.
