Bhubaneswar: With heavy rain battering many areas of Odisha for the last two days, the Regional Meteorological Department here has predicted more showers in the entire coastal belt as well as interior and southern region.

Rainfall activity is likely to continue till October 5 under the impact of a low-pressure area over Northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal.

The weather department has issued a yellow warning for 12 districts as there is a forecast of heavy rainfall Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Bargarh, Boudh, Ganjam, Puri, Subarnapur, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Fishermen have also been warned not to venture into the sea due to rough weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will withness cloudy skies with few spells of light to moderate rain and thundershower. Parts of the cities may also experience one or two spells of intense rain till October 4 morning.
