Bhubaneswar: A fresh low pressure is likely to form over northeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around September 20, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.
At present a north-south trough runs from Bihar to south interior Odisha across Jharkhand and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Several parts of Odisha will experience enhanced rainfall activity under its influence for the next couple of days.

Here’s the complete forecast for different parts of Odisha till September 23:
Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of September 19)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at several places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Sundergarh and Keonjhar.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of September 19 upto 0830 hrs IST of September 20)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Rayagada.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of South interior Odisha.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of September 20 upto 0830 hrs IST of September 21)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower to occur at most places over the districts of north coastal Odisha and at remaining parts of Odisha.
Orange Warning (Be prepared): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapada.
Possible Impact Due to Heavy Rainfall:
1- Water logging in low lying areas.
2- Damage to kutcha house and informal road.
3- Landslides in hilly areas.
4- Traffic congestion, under pass road and water logging in low lying areas of urban areas.

Heavy rainfall also likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Jagatsingpur, Puri, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sambalpur, and Cuttack.
Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of September 21 upto 0830 hrs IST of September 22)
Orange Warning (Be prepared):
Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sonepur, and Angul.
Impact:
1- Water logging in low lying areas.
2- Possible damage to kutcha house and informal road.
3- Landslides in hilly areas.
4- Traffic congestion, under pass road and water logging in low lying areas of urban areas
Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of September 22 upto 0830 hrs IST of September 23)
Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Nabarangpur.

Fishermen Warning: Due to formation of a Low Pressure area over Northeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, squally weather with surface wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph likely over North east Bay of Bengal and adjoining east central Bay of Bengal on September 20 and also squally weather with surface wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph likely over North Bay of Bengal and West central Bay of Bengal along and off Odisha coast during September 21 and 22.
