Bhubaneswar: Despite the fact that the government amin has already given a clean chit to Odisha Television Network Ltd (OTV) in connection with the land encroachment allegations, a senior official of the company and two others were questioned for over eight hours at Baghamari Police Station on Saturday.

OTV CFO, Sarua site in-charge and a former employee of the company were questioned by the police today.

On October 6, the Tehsil-appointed government amin, Sankarshana Paikaray had carried out measurement at the site and clarified that there has been no land encroachment by OTV.

“We were directed to measure the land of plot number 1829. After the measurement of the site, we found no encroachment of land… There has been no encroachment of land by anyone,” Paikaray had said.

A few villagers of Sarua, Jayamangala and Goudagotha had earlier levelled land encroachment allegations against OTV authorities in an apparent attempt to malign the image of the company. As per their allegations, they were being restricted from going to their own farmland. This apart they had claimed that the connecting road has been blocked by the company authorities.
