Bhubaneswar: Media professionals in Odisha will be recognised for their outstanding contributions through the Media Excellence Awards by the Media@Change forum in a ceremony in the capital city on September 21.
The award is presented to recognise the growing importance of work being done by print, broadcast (television and radio) and online news services professionals who demonstrate a passionate commitment in advancing quality journalism and promoting free and fair flow of news and exchange of opinions. The idea is to encourage working journalists and media practitioners to continue being committed to high standards in their profession, said the organisers which include many veteran journalists.
Media professionals working in Odisha and/or belonging to Odisha affiliated with regional, national and international news organisation/company can apply. A media professional can apply individually or the organisation/company for which it works can also recommend her/his candidature. That apart, the jury will also have the discretion to nominate entries for different categories, said organisers at the Prelude Novel Ventures
