Bhubaneswar: Even though the south-west monsoon is active, several parts of Odisha have received rainfall below normal so far. However, the intensity of rainfall is likely to increase from today, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast.

As per the latest bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at several parts of north and south Odisha today.

Heavy rainfall (Yellow warning) alert has also been issued for the districts of Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Thunderstorm with lightning is also likely to occur at Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Dhenkanal.

Day 2 (Valid till 08:30 Hrs of July 13)

(Yellow Warning)- Heavy rainfall warning issued for the districts of Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Nuapada and Bargarh. Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur over the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Bough, Bolangir, Angul, Sonepur, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Sundergarh.

Day 3 (Valid till 08:30 Hrs Of July 14)

As per the IMD’s forecast, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm likely to occur in most parts of Odisha. Heavy rainfall likely to occur in one or two places in the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Boudh, Bargarh, Bolangir, Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Mayurbhanj.

Day 4 (Valid till 08:30 Hrs of July 15)

Districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Sambalpur and Malkangiri to experience heavy rainfall while other parts of Odisha will witness light to moderate rain or thundershower.

Day 5 (Valid Till 08:30 Hrs till July 16)

Several districts of interior and coastal Odisha to experience light to moderate rain or thundershower.
