Cuttack: Bidyashree Dash, the wife of deceased social activist Aditya Dash, who attempted suicide by consuming sedatives on Wednesday, said that she does not want to live anymore as she was 'mentally raped'.

The widow of noted motivational speaker consumed sleeping pills in order to take her own life while going live on Facebook earlier in the day.

Recuperating at a bed at the casualty ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital, she revealed the actual motive behind such drastic step. Bidyashree alleged that she was depressed after being branded as the murderer of her husband.

In the 6.17 minutes long video she showed a diary and revealed the names of those who had been harassing her mentally. She said they were responsible for her suicide attempt.

"Aditya in his suicide note had mentioned that no one was responsible for his death and the Crime Branch probing the case has not reached any conclusion yet. However, they (named by Bidyashree) are blaming me and presenting me as the killer of my husband," she said.

She said that despite giving several evidence in the case, she did not find any notable progress in the case so far.

Demanding stringent punishment for those pushing her to suicide, Bidyashree said, "Now, I want nothing else but death."

Speaking about the suicide bid, Bidyashree's father said, "I immediately called up her after coming across the Facebook live video, but she did not pick up my call. Then I called up her mother-in-law who informed me that she was taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital."
