Bhubaneswar: Many districts of Odisha will experience heavy rainfall for three days starting from today, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre at Bhubaneswar said.

The weather department has issued Yellow Warning for Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal districts with prediction of heavy rainfall today.

Besides, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Angul, Boudh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh.

Similarly, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Puri, Sambalpur, Angul, Sonepur, Bargarh, Sundargarh and Keonjhar tomorrow (July 15), according to the weather bulletin of the IMD.

The weatherman has also predicted thunderstorm and lightning at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal and Kalahandi.

On July 16, one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Bargarh and Angul will experience heavy rainfall, the weather department added.

It further said cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower will be witnessed in Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood in the next 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 30 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.
